"Some musicians play the piano. Some musicians express music through the piano. Polish pianist Elzbieta Bilicka is a prime example of the latter argument" (Classical Music Sentinel). Bilicka has been described as "an unusual and interesting artist" (Adam Rozlach, Polish Radio 1 and TV Culture) and "a haunting Chopinist (...) [capable of] making something lovely out of simplicity" (Fanfare Magazine).
Elzbieta has performed solo and with orchestras in many cities of her native Poland, as well as in Italy, Austria, Switzerland and USA. Her recitals have been featured on BBC Radio, Central New York’s Classic FM, Polish TV Culture and Polish Radio Koszalin.
In July 2021, Centaur Records released her debut CD: Lights and shadows, which was greeted with high critical acclaim. American Records Guide called it "a wonderful CD debut", Fanfare Magazine praised its "strong poetic streak" and Classical Sentinel exclaimed: “Now, that's musicianship!”.
Elzbieta is a prizewinner of various international piano competitions. The latest and most important of them are: honorable mention and a special prize for the best Bach rendition at the Third Olga Kern International Piano Competition in Albuquerque, New Mexico (2023), 1st prize at the 2nd G-clef International Music Competition in South Korea, (2021), 1st prize at the Walled City Music International Piano Competition in Derry, Northern Ireland (2020), 1st prize at the Putra International Piano Competition in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (2020), laureate title and two special prizes at the 10th International Ignacy Jan Paderewski Piano Competition in Bydgoszcz, Poland, (2016) and 3rd prize at the Polish Chopin Piano NIFC Competition in Katowice, Poland (2016). In 2018, she was awarded the ‘Young Poland’ Scholarship of the Polish Minister of Culture.
Elzbieta holds a Master of Arts degree in Piano Performance from the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz (class of Katarzyna Popowa-Zydron, Agata Nowakowska-Gumiela and Alberto Nose). She is currently a DMA candidate at her Polish alma mater. Between 2016 and 2018, she studied under Nelson Goerner at the Haute Ecole de Musique de Geneve in Switzerland.
Next to performing, Elzbieta also writes articles on music and neuroaesthetics (neurological studies of aesthetics in art). She has been published in Universitas Gedanensis (2020, issue 58) and Art and Philosophy, a member of the International Association for Aesthetics (2021, issue 53). In her free time, Elzbieta is a passionate baker and hiker.
Elzbieta served as the Adjunct Faculty at the Caine College of the Arts at Utah State University in Logan (UT) between 2019 and 2022. Currently, she is pursuing the Professional Studies Certificate at Manhattan School of Music in New York under Olga Kern.

Elzbieta koncertowala solo i z orkiestrami w wielu miastach Polski, jak rowniez we Wloszech, Austrii, Szwajcarii oraz Stanach Zjednoczonych. Jej recitale nadawane byly przez Polskie Radio Koszalin, TVP Kultura, BBC Radio w Wielkiej Brytanii oraz Central New York's Classic FM.
W lipcu 2021 wytwornia Centaur Records wydala debiutancka plyte Elzbiety, "Lights and shadows" ("Blaski i cienie"). Album zebral niezwykle pozytywne recenzje. American Records Guide nazwal go "wspanialym debiutem plytowym", Fanfare Magazine chwalil jego "silne poetyckie podszycie", a Classical Sentinel wykrzyknal: "oto muzykalnosc!".
Elzbieta jest laureatka wielu nagrod na miedzynarodowych konkursach pianistycznych. Ostatnie i najważniejsze z nich to: wyroznienie oraz nagroda specjalna za najlepsze wykonanie utworu Bacha na III Miedzynarodowym Konkursie Pianistycznym Olgi Kern w Albuquerque w Nowym Meksyku, USA (2023), I nagroda na 2nd G-clef International Music Competition w Poludniowej Korei (2021), I nagroda na Putra International Piano Competition w Kuala Lumpur, Malezja (2020), I nagroda na Walled City Music International Piano Competition w Derry, Polnocna Irlandia (2020), tytuł laureata oraz dwie nagrody specjalne na X Międzynarodowym Konkursie Pianistycznym im. Ignacego Jana Paderewskiego w Bydgoszczy (2016) oraz III nagroda na Ogólnopolskim Konkursie Fryderyka Chopina NIFC w Katowicach (2016). W 2018 otrzymała Stypendium Polskiego Ministra Kultury Młoda Polska.
Elzbieta ukończyła z wyróżnieniem studia magisterskie w Akademii Muzycznej im. F. Nowowiejskiego w Bydgoszczy w 2016 roku, gdzie kształciła się pod kierunkiem prof. Katarzyny Popowej-Zydroń, dr hab. Agaty Nowakowskiej – Gumieli oraz mgr Alberto Nosè. W latach 2016-2018 Elzbieta kontynuowala studia pianistyczne w Haute École de Musique w Genewie w klasie mgr Nelsona Goernera. W 2020 otworzyla przewod doktorski w polskiej Alma Mater.
W latach 2019-2022 Elzbieta byla członkiem katedry fortepianu w Caine College of the Arts na Utah State University w Logan, UT (USA). Obecnie studiuje na Manhattan School of Music w Nowym Jorku (Professional Studies Certificate) pod kierunkiem Olgi Kern.
